Counter Terrorism Department Arrests 10 Militants in Punjab

Lahore: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 10 militants from various cities in Punjab based on intelligence reports. Among the arrested individuals, two belong to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were caught with explosive materials.

According to a CTD spokesperson, a total of 73 intelligence-based operations were conducted across multiple cities, including Khushab, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Toba Tek Singh, and Rahim Yar Khan.

During the operations, law enforcement officials recovered explosive materials, IED bombs, detonators, safety fuse wires, pamphlets, cash, and mobile phones from the militants.

The spokesperson further stated that the arrested militants were planning attacks to spread fear and panic among the public.

Additionally, during this week, 758 combing operations were carried out, resulting in the arrest of 107 suspected individuals.
